The pastoral staff, officers and members of the Tamarind Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church would like nothing better than to have you make a personal visit to their beautiful edifice, located in the heart of Compton, CA. There you would experience the reality of God's love through the warmth and caring of both its English and Spanish-speaking congregants.

Meet Our Pastors                                                                       Senior Pastor Dr. Kyle is the senior pastor of the Tamarind Ave. SDA Church in Compton, California. Before pursuing his medical studies, Dr Kyle started his ministry in 1973 and has pastured multiple churches in the Southern California area, as well as working in religious broadcasting for the Breath of Life Telecast.   He earned his Master of Divinity degree in 1978 from Andrews Theological Seminary and his BA in Religion from Loma Linda University in 1973.           more Associate Pastor Born in Staten Island, N.Y. Pastor Edwin M. McBride Jr. attended Atlantic Union College where he received his Bachelors in Theology with a minor in Psychology.  Upon graduating he attended the Andrews University Seminary and graduated with a Masters in Divinity with an emphasis in Preaching.   His greatest joy is his family, you will enjoy the smile of his wife Sandra as together they are happy to raise their daughter Sydney age 3 and Edwin III (EJ) 4 mos.
